Lecture 3: The Web
10.9.19 (Week 3)

 Mr. Shamsul gave us a lecture about web standards. He also assigned us and explained about our first project. We have to design a landing page and we have to choose our own topic. The size have to be 1920 x 1080 (web large) on Adobe Illustrator.




 PROJECT 1 | Week 3

 For this project, we had to create a landing page. It could be about our favourite singer, band, or sports team. I chose a homestay name "Nanga Damai". My main call to action of the landing page is to have people to book the homestay. Following are my sketches :

I then proceed to design my landing page using Adobe Illustrator. Mr. Shamsul gave me some feedbacks on which layout I should go for. And i had also design a logo for the homestay.

Feedback : After asking for feedback from Mr. Shamsul, he suggested to make the "Book Now" button more visible, maybe put an arrow beside it. Overall the design was good.

 Hence, I have decided to change the shape off the "Book Now" and "Read More" box to a rounded rectangle shape. And I've also added an arrow to each of the rectangle.

By the end of the semester we would have to present one product from the project. This project is interesting as it gives us an opportunity to venture into different design applications.
