Lecture Notes
Lecture 1 : Introduction to Information Design
07.01.2020 (Week 1)

Today we were given a brief on what to expect from this module. Every week we will have a FLIP presentation, where we return the learning through an 8 minute presentation. We were told to form groups and prepare a presentation about "Manuel Lima's 9 Directives Manifesto" and also for our final project.

Lecture 2 : Introduction to Information Design
14.01.2020 (Week 2)

Today we learned about Saul Wurman's L.A.T.C.H (location, alphabet, time, category, hierarchy) within an infographic. These are applications to design a good infographic, it is to organise "chaos".

Mr Kannan:
The cycle of ideation has a concrete sequence to it. References (moodboards) > Sketches > Transfer sketches into more detailed version > Finalised artwork. Accept criticism and changes.

Exercises
Exercise 1 : Quantify & Visualize Data
07.01.2020 (Week 1)

We were to pick between lego bricks or buttons to quantify raw data and visualise information on a piece of A4 paper. I picked buttons. Below are my progress with the bricks till my final submission.

Exercise 2 : L.A.T.C.H

14.01.2020 (Week 2)
Organise four Pokemons into a visual poster that combined and utilizes each of the L.A.T.C.H principles

Requirements
Use a digital photo editing / illustration software available to assemble the pokemons into a LATCH infographic poster. You can re-use back the images of the monsters, but do create the rest of your own visuals to complete the poster.
