Project 1

We are required to design a new happy meal box together with its fun fries packaging. The new design should include an education information within the design. We need to propose an idea on what to message to its target audience. The packaging design should showcase the knowledge from previous exercises

Visual References & Idea.

My idea was to create a house out of the happy meal box and include a set of stickers in the box. The aim is to help children with their imaginative thinking and creativity, they can decorate the house with the stickers provided. On the french fires box, the children can easily push out the character as it is perforated, same goes to the windows and doors on the happy meal box.

Week 6
Mr shamsul said that my idea for the happy meal box is okay and I can proceed on making the semi comp. And not just the happy meal box, we also have to design the french fries box.

Week 7
After showing Mr Shamsul my semi comp, he said that it's okay. The kids can play and decorate the happy meal box like a house and the character is made out of the french fries box.

Week 8
Mr Shamsul was alright with the desgn and the character on the french fries box needs to design further more as it still looks rough. As we cannot print the box out , we were required to make a realistic mockup out of the Photoshop file that Mr Shamsul provided.

By the end of the semester we would have to present one product from the project. This project is interesting as it gives us an opportunity to venture into different design applications. We were strongly urged to step out of our specialisations. I wanted to use the technique "Kirigami" to create the greeting card. Purpose : To introduce and promote the culture to others.
